UAE tax deadlines for VAT and Corporate Tax
Two dates most founders watch: the VAT return on the 28th after the period, and the Corporate Tax return nine months after year-end.
| Obligation | Deadline |
|---|---|
| VAT return + payment | 28th of the month after the tax period ends (next business day if weekend/holiday) |
| Corporate Tax return + payment | Within 9 months after the tax period ends |
How EmiraBooks helps
Keep bank feeds (Wio / ENBD), receipts and invoices in one place so VAT boxes and CT figures are easier to assemble before you open EmaraTax.

FAQ
- When is a UAE VAT return due?
- File and pay by the 28th day of the month following the end of the tax period. If that day is a weekend or public holiday, the FTA moves the deadline to the next business day.
- When is the Corporate Tax return due?
- Submit the Tax Return and settle Corporate Tax Payable within 9 months from the end of the tax period (FTA).
- Where do I file?
- In EmaraTax on the FTA portal. EmiraBooks helps you prepare figures; it does not replace EmaraTax.
