UAE e-invoicing: dates you can plan around
The MoF is rolling out a Peppol-based e-invoicing system with PINT-AE invoices. Appoint an ASP before your go-live date. EmiraBooks prepares structured invoices; it is not your ASP.
Mandatory phases (MoF)
| Who | ASP | Mandatory from |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue ≥ AED 50,000,000 | 30.10.2026 | 01.01.2027 |
| Revenue < AED 50,000,000 | 31.03.2027 | 01.07.2027 |
| Government entities in scope | 31.03.2027 | 01.10.2027 |
Pilot from 01.07.2026. Phase 1 ASP deadline was extended from 31.07.2026 to 30.10.2026; mandatory go-live stayed 01.01.2027.
PINT-AE, Peppol, ASP
PINT-AE is the structured invoice format. Peppol is the exchange network (five-corner / decentralised model). An ASP is the accredited bridge between your systems and that network.
What EmiraBooks does today
- Creates invoices and credit notes with the data you need for UAE VAT invoices.
- Builds and archives PINT-AE XML for your records.
- Does not act as an ASP and does not push documents onto the Peppol network for you.

FAQ
- What is an ASP?
- An Accredited Service Provider connects you to the UAE e-invoicing network. MoF accredits ASPs. EmiraBooks is not an ASP.
- What is PINT-AE?
- PINT-AE is the UAE structured e-invoice format based on Peppol International Invoice. It is machine-readable XML, not a PDF alone.
- When do I need e-invoicing?
- If annual revenue is AED 50,000,000 or more: appoint an ASP by 30.10.2026 and go live by 01.01.2027. Below that: ASP by 31.03.2027, go live by 01.07.2027. Government entities: ASP by 31.03.2027, go live by 01.10.2027.
- Does EmiraBooks transmit invoices to the FTA network?
- Not today. EmiraBooks builds PINT-AE XML and archives it. Network transmission needs an ASP on Peppol. We will stay honest about that as the rollout advances.
