Accounting software for the UAE

EmiraBooks is bookkeeping software for founders in Dubai and the wider UAE who want to keep their own books. Import Wio or ENBD, scan receipts, raise invoices, and keep VAT and Corporate Tax figures ready for EmaraTax.

Accounting software on a laptop with Dubai context

Built for UAE rules, not a global template

UAE VAT sits at 5% with mandatory registration once taxable supplies and imports pass AED 375,000. Corporate Tax uses a 9% headline rate with a published zero band of AED 375,000 under the standard regime.

Most global tools treat the UAE as another country pack. EmiraBooks starts from Dubai: AED amounts, TRN fields, EmaraTax-oriented prep, and bank statements from banks founders actually use.

You still file in EmaraTax. We do not claim FTA approval. We help you organise the numbers so filing day is calmer.

Founders who move here from Europe or Asia often keep old habits for a few months. Then VAT201 or a Corporate Tax return arrives and the gaps show. Local software reduces that lag because the defaults match how UAE businesses actually post cash.

A day in the books with EmiraBooks

Morning: pull your Wio or ENBD statement and match lines to invoices or expenses. Midday: snap a receipt and attach it so the bank line is not orphaned. Evening: check open invoices and what is waiting for VAT coding.

That rhythm is how small teams avoid a month-end scramble. The product is for people who already decided to book themselves, not for firms that want a full outsourced finance desk.

Every plan includes a free first month. Prices are shown in AED so you can budget without guessing FX.

If you travel between emirates, the same books travel with you. Mainland desks, free zone desks, and home offices all feed one ledger. The software does not care which desk you sat at when the payment cleared.

Who this fits

Mainland LLCs, free zone companies, freelancers with a licence, and lean teams that invoice in AED. If you need multi-entity consolidation across five countries, look at heavier ERP suites instead.

If you mainly need clean books, bank reconciliation, and UAE tax prep, stay here. Pair EmiraBooks with your advisor when the questions get legal.

Solo operators often start with invoices and a bank feed. Growing teams add receipt rules, period closes, and exports for an external accountant. You do not have to rebuild the system when the company hires its second person.

Agencies, consultancies, e-commerce brands, and service firms sit comfortably in that range. Construction with heavy retention schedules or listed groups with segment reporting usually need more than a founder ledger.

Compliance anchors we keep visible

VAT returns are generally due on the 28th of the month after the tax period. Corporate Tax returns are due within 9 months after the period ends. Small Business Relief, where available, follows MD 73/2023 for periods ending on or before 2026-12-31.

E-invoicing is arriving in phases. EmiraBooks already builds and archives PINT-AE XML. Network send still needs an Accredited Service Provider. We say that plainly on our e-invoicing page.

We publish last-checked dates next to tax numbers on our tools and guides. When MoF or FTA guidance moves, we update the facts file first, then the copy. That habit matters more than a slogan.

Penalties for late VAT returns and late Corporate Tax returns sit in Cabinet Decision tables. Use our calculators for a rough AED estimate, then confirm the current text on tax.gov.ae before you rely on a figure in a board note.

Bank import, receipts, and invoice trail

Reconciliation starts with the statement. Wio and Emirates NBD imports are first-class because those feeds are common among Dubai founders. Other banks can still be booked from CSV or by hand when you need them.

Receipts close the story. A payment without a photo or PDF is a future audit problem. Scan on the phone, match to the line, move on. Input VAT claims are easier when the evidence already sits next to the cash.

Customer invoices carry UAE VAT fields so your output tax is not rebuilt from memory. When a client pays late, the open invoice list shows it. When they pay, the bank match closes the loop.

Archive habits beat heroics. Keep supplier bills, credit notes, and bank PDFs in the same place you post journals. EmiraBooks is that place for day-to-day work. Your advisor can still receive a clean export when a filing pack is due.

VAT and Corporate Tax prep without portal cosplay

The period view aggregates standard-rated lines at 5% and surfaces totals you will type into VAT201. It does not pretend to be EmaraTax. Filing stays on the FTA portal where it belongs.

On the Corporate Tax side, tidy revenue and expense history makes the 9% calculation less painful once you pass the AED 375,000 zero band under the standard regime. Small Business Relief checks still need your own eligibility read against MD 73/2023.

We never put an FTA approved badge on the product. Quincom Ecommerce - FZCO builds software. The authority runs the filing systems. Keeping those roles clear protects you from false comfort.

When your advisor asks for schedules, you should be able to answer from exports rather than from screenshots. That is the bar we design toward.

Pricing, trial, and where we sit

Plans are listed in AED on /preise. Capacity steps match how many customers and documents you handle, not a maze of add-ons.

Every plan starts with 1 month free. Cancel monthly if the fit is wrong. No annual lock-in required to try the product properly.

The company address is Quincom Ecommerce - FZCO, Building A1, Dubai Digital Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai. Support and product decisions stay close to the same market you sell into.

German founders can switch language in the product and open the DE landings under /de/. The tax numbers stay the same because UAE filing does not change with your preferred UI language.

FAQ

Is EmiraBooks FTA approved?
No. Never claim that. EmiraBooks is software from Quincom Ecommerce - FZCO. You prepare figures here and you file on EmaraTax. Approval language belongs to the authority, not to a bookkeeping app.
Which banks import today?
Wio and Emirates NBD statement import are first-class. Other banks can still be entered manually or through CSV and Excel style flows when you need reconciliation outside those two feeds.
Can I try before I pay?
Yes. Every plan starts with 1 month free. If you stay, billing is in AED. Cancel monthly if the product is not the right fit for how you work.
Does it replace my accountant?
It replaces messy spreadsheets for many founders. It does not replace advice on edge cases, elections, or documentation packs. Keep your advisor for legal questions and use EmiraBooks for the daily trail.
Where is the company based?
Quincom Ecommerce - FZCO, Building A1, Dubai Digital Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai. EmiraBooks is built in the UAE for AED-first workflows.
What about Corporate Tax Small Business Relief?
MD 73/2023 sets an AED 3,000,000 revenue ceiling for periods ending on or before 2026-12-31. We do not state an extension beyond that without an official MoF or FTA source. Confirm eligibility against the decision text and your own facts.
Do you submit VAT or Corporate Tax returns?
No. EmiraBooks prepares books and period figures. You submit in EmaraTax. VAT is generally due on the 28th after the period. Corporate Tax returns are due within 9 months after the period ends.
Is EmiraBooks only for Dubai?
It is built in Dubai and used across the UAE wherever you keep AED books and file with the FTA. Free zone and mainland entities both fit the same operational layer.
